Salix pharmaceuticals aimed to develop a solution to educate patients suffering from chronic liver disease during their hospital visit. We decided to create an EHR plug-in that can be installed in the EHR system.

At discharge, hepatic encephalopathy (HE) patients gets an access to critical, guideline-based support tools and resources to help identify and track their symptoms, understand the importance of medication adherence,

prevent overt HE recurrence and reduce HE-related hospitalizations.

Doctors and Nurse can access various educational health tools within the plug-in, which can then be emailed or printed out during the time of patient discharge.
